This July, 21 2013 will mark the first international Sex Worker Appreciation Day. This day will be dedicated to expressing love and care to all those working within the sex industry for all the good, hard, and historic work they do year round.
Sex work is highly stigmatized and, in many places around the globe, criminalized, which has proven lasting physical and emotional effects for those within the industry. With this day patrons, allies, family, and friends of sex workers can initiate a change, by giving back to those who give so much.
Want to celebrate? Create an event dedicated to sex workers in your community! Give your favorite stripper/ho/cam mode/Domme/porn performerl etc. some extra niceties as a THANK YOU for being you! Come out as an ally, friend, or patron of a sex worker!
