SWOP will be hosting a training for new outreach volunteers on Thursday, August 28th. The training will sandwich our normal meeting time, which new outreach volunteers are asked to stay for. The training will begin at 6pm and end at 10pm, with the regular SWOP organizing meeting happening as usual from 7pm to 9pm. We will cover the purpose of outreach, our supplies, safety, outreach interactions, and logistics. 

At the end of the training, we’ll schedule outreach shifts for the next two months so newly trained volunteers can be paired up with experienced outreach volunteers to gain experience. Experienced outreach volunteers are highly encouraged to come for the entire training to chime in with your thoughts! I especially need you there at the end to schedule shifts with new volunteers- please let me know you’re upcoming availability if you can’t make it.
Pizza and salad will be provided for dinner. Please RSVP if you are coming to the training and if you would like pizza, any dietary restrictions. Childcare is available with 48 hours notice- please let me know ASAP the number and ages of your children if you need childcare. 
The training and meeting will be held at 680 Mission Street between 3rd St. and New Montgomery. We will probably be in the conference room on floor A1, but might move to the lounge on floor A2 depending on how many people we have. You can walk past the doorman unless he stops you- if he does, tell him you’re going to the SWOP meeting in the conference room.
