The protest outside Senator Hancock’s office will not take place. SB 1110 is no longer active in the California legislature. Negotiations took place behind closed doors and the bill was put aside when it became incorporated in the budget process and money was allocated in the state budget and passed by the governor’s office, $15 million allocated to LEAD.

LEAD is part of a national plan to counter decriminalization and recruit the non-profit sector to be part of  the criminal justice system working with law enforcement.

The fight continues!
